Dr. Amir Hassan Siddiqui is a Consultant General Surgeon and Lead of the Department of Surgery at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, where he also leads the Endoscopy Service. With more than three decades of surgical experience, he is recognised for his expertise, leadership, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Dr. Siddiqui graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Karachi in 1985. He completed his postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom before being awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI) in 1993. He has been registered as a Specialist in General Surgery in Ireland since 2005.

Throughout his career, Dr. Siddiqui has held consultant posts at Letterkenny University Hospital, St. James's Hospital Dublin, and the Midland Regional Hospital network, including Portlaoise, Tullamore, and Mullingar. He has also practised privately at the Chartered Medical Hospital, providing specialist surgical care to a wide range of patients.
